Galloi-Vit® is a biological control agent used to control the eggs of the sugarcane borer (Diatraea saccharalis). The product can be applied when eggs or adult moths of the pest are present in the target crop, regardless of the phenological development stage.
Galloi-Vit® can be applied to all crops where the biological targets occur, using an inundative release strategy.

Galloi-Vit® acts in biological control through parasitism of sugarcane borer eggs. Female wasps deposit their eggs inside the pest’s eggs, interrupting their development. As the parasitoid develops, the borer eggs lose their natural coloration, darken, and instead of new borers, new parasitoids emerge.
Application
Galloi-Vit® can be applied safely and innovatively via drone.
Release of the product should occur after monitoring with the Delta-Vit trap and in the presence of adult pests. Three sequential releases are recommended, with a 7-day interval between each one. Each release must contain 50,000 individuals per hectare, corresponding to approximately 5 mL of product, with a flight-radius spacing of 30 meters.

Galloi-Vit® is a biological control agent composed of Trichogramma galloi, a parasitoid micro-wasp that acts in the control of sugarcane borer eggs (Diatraea saccharalis). The product helps reduce pest infestation and maintain the natural balance of the sugarcane field.
How does Galloi-Vit® act on the sugarcane borer?
