Mode of action
After egg hatching, Criso-Vit® (Chrysoperla externa) larvae actively search for pests present in the crop, which serve as food during their development. Once they reach the adult stage, females deposit new eggs directly on the plants (in different locations such as leaves, branches and fruits), restarting the cycle and ensuring continuous biological control.
Application
Criso-Vit® is applied safely and innovatively, either by drone release or by manual bulk release, totaling 1,000 individuals (eggs or larvae) per hectare.
Manual bulk release is carried out with a 5 mL dispenser, distributed at 10 evenly spaced points within the hectare to ensure uniform dispersion of the biological agent.
Releases of this macrobial predator can be performed throughout the day, as long as weather conditions are favorable. It is recommended to perform 2 to 4 applications, with 7- to 10-day intervals.
Always ensure proper calibration of the drone dispenser to guarantee correct dosage and optimal control efficiency.

Get answers to your questions about the use and benefits of our products.
What is Criso-Vit® and what is it used for?
Criso-Vit® is a biological control agent composed of Chrysoperla externa, popularly known as the green lacewing. Its larvae are natural predators of several agricultural pests, such as aphids, whiteflies, psyllids and mites.
What does it mean that Criso-Vit® is a “polyphagous predator”?
“Polyphagous predator” means it feeds on many different pest species, not just one. This makes Criso-Vit® extremely versatile, acting in various crops and infestation scenarios.
How does Criso-Vit® control pests?
Once released in the field, the larvae actively search for target insects to feed on. During this stage, they consume a large number of pests per day, helping reduce the population effectively.
Is the product safe for the environment and the applicator?
Yes. Because it is a biological agent, Criso-Vit® is 100% natural and non-toxic, posing no risk to the operator, animals, or the environment.
What are the practical benefits for the producer?
With Criso-Vit®, the producer achieves effective pest control, reduced chemical costs, preservation of natural enemies and a more balanced, sustainable management system, strengthening productivity over the long term.
