RIZOFORTE is a microbiological nematicide based on Purpureocillium lilacinum, featuring an exclusive Vittia strain that combines efficient nematode control with benefits for plant development. It acts on the degradation of eggs, females, and cysts through the production of enzymes and metabolites, while also promoting root growth and improved soil exploration.

Its OD (oil dispersible) formulation provides greater protection and viability of the microorganism, ensuring consistent field performance. It can be applied through seed treatment, seedling treatment, or drench application, offering a sustainable and low environmental impact solution for nematode management.

Mode of action

RIZOFORTE is a microbiological nematicide formulated with Purpureocillium lilacinum BV05, which acts on nematode eggs, females, and cysts. Its mode of action is based on the production of extracellular enzymes and secondary metabolites, such as leucinostatin, which degrade plant-parasitic nematode structures and reduce their development and reproduction capacity.

In addition, the microorganism colonizes the rhizosphere, contributing to root system protection and soil biological balance.

Application

RizoForte must be applied through agricultural spraying using:

Seed Treatment (ST):
Use equipment that provides uniform distribution of the spray solution over the seeds, following the equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.

Seedling Treatment:
Apply the product directly to the seedlings before transplanting, ensuring adequate contact with the root system.

Drench Application:
Apply directly to the soil or the plant root zone, promoting colonization of the environment where nematode infestation occurs.

Applications should preferably be carried out during periods of lower temperature and higher relative humidity.

Follow the application technology recommendations provided by the responsible agronomist.

General Precautions

Product for agricultural use only. PRODUCT UNLIKELY TO CAUSE ACUTE HARM (CATEGORY 5) and SLIGHTLY HAZARDOUS TO THE ENVIRONMENT (CLASS IV). Always consult an agronomist and strictly follow the instructions provided. It is important to adopt Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Read the label and have it read to those who cannot read. When handling the product, use the personal protective equipment specified on the label and leaflet. Empty containers must be returned to inpEV collection units.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you better understand the use and benefits of our products.

How does RizoForte act?

RizoForte acts on nematode eggs through the production of extracellular enzymes and secondary metabolites, which promote eggshell degradation and impair hatching, reducing egg viability and the population potential of nematodes.

In addition, it acts on adult nematodes by reducing egg laying and reproductive capacity.

Finally, it has high potential for promoting plant growth.

What does the OD formulation (oil dispersible) mean?

OD technology is one of the product’s main differentiators, as it consists of a liquid oil-based suspension that protects fungal spores against heat, radiation, and moisture loss. This system contributes to greater stability, extending RizoForte’s shelf life and its viability in the environment.
